Baptism

Baptism is an essential requirement for salvation, according to the teachings of Christ. Scripture states: “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved” (Mark 16:16). Faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the foundation of salvation. Baptism, as an act of repentance and acceptance of Jesus, affirms our readiness to follow Him. It is an expression of the forgiveness of sins and the beginning of a new life in the Lord. In our church, we practice full immersion in water, based on the biblical example. As Jesus said in Matthew 28:19, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Communion

Communion is a sacred rite in which we partake of bread and wine, symbolizing the body and blood of Jesus Christ. It is an expression of our faith in Him as our Lord and Savior. With gratitude, we remember His sacrifice and look forward with hope to His return. Communion also reminds us of the unity of all believers in Christ. In our church, we observe Communion following the example set by Christ, including foot washing, as described in John 13:1–17.

Bible Study

Studying the Bible is important for our understanding of God and His will for the Christian life. It helps us live and act according to what is written in the Scriptures. Christ said, “Search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and they are they which testify of Me” (John 5:39). Every Sabbath, we gather for a joint Bible study at 10 AM and invite everyone to join us. We have groups for all ages— from children to adults. Our doctrine is based on the Bible and the Bible alone— “Sola Scriptura.”

Matrimony

Marriage was established by God in Eden and affirmed by Jesus as a covenant of love between a man and a woman for life. The foundation of the relationship is love, respect, unity, responsibility, and trust. Family and children are a blessing from the Lord, as it is written in the Scriptures: “And God blessed them” (Genesis 1:28). Our church offers support in entering into the marital covenant, as well as counseling for those who have already entered into marriage and those who are seeking to do so.

Anointing the Sick

“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven” (James 5:14-15).

The apostle James speaks of anointing with oil as a means of God’s grace for healing. Those who are sick should call upon the elders of the church, who will offer a prayer of faith accompanied by anointing. This rite is not only a request for physical healing but also for spiritual restoration. The Lord forgives sins by faith, strengthens belief, and grants hope.

It is important to remember that the Lord heals according to His will, as He deems best, and not according to our expectations. He acts as He sees fit, and how He answers prayers always aligns with His perfect wisdom and plan for our lives. In our church, we continue to use this rite as it is written in the Holy Scriptures.
